John earned a master’s degree in math from Penn State University, with an emphasis in abstract mathematics. He later went on to teach math as a full-time instructor at the Penn State-Fayette Campus for six years. He continued graduate level classes in computer science and taught as a full-time computer science instructor at Salem University (WV) for two years. Along the way in life, John served as a adjunct math instructor at several community colleges and four-year colleges. After getting married and starting a family, John changed career paths and went to work as a software developer. He is now semi-retired and tutors math and SAT preparation on a part-time basis. John’s main focus as a college math instructor was in remedial math. John taught engineering and science majors as well, up through pre-calculus and calculus I. John moved to Louisville, CO with his family to enjoy the great outdoors! He is an avid folk musician and (before kids) had performed across many states and even on National Public Radio!
